A fresh, healthy mouth is our aim for all our
patients here at Titchfield Dental Health!

Before

This patient had amalgam (metal) fillings replaced with composite (tooth coloured) fillings, a course of tooth whitening and then had veneers fitted.

After

The result is a fabulous smile to be proud of!

We offer a wide range of dental treatments and hygienist appointments to help you maintain oral health for life. We will work with you, planning a course of treatment or offer advice to give you a smile you can be proud of.

Our treatments include:

Dental Health Assessment

On your first visit to us we will carry out an extensive Dental Health Assessment to find out the health of your mouth, teeth and gums. This allows us to recommend and plan any treatment you would like to have carried out.

Routine Dental Health Reviews

Adult: You can choose to have a Dental Health Review every 6 or 12 months - we will advise you which would be best for you. Children: We suggest your children have a Dental Health Review every 6 months to monitor their dental development and to establish good dental habits.

Tooth Coloured Composite Fillings

Fillings are the most common and least expensive way to restore teeth. We use a wide range of tooth coloured composites so we can closely match the colour of your teeth. We make these fillings look like your natural teeth so that they are virtually invisible. Composite fillings can also be used to mask mishapen teeth or to close gaps in between teeth.

Silver Amalgam Fillings

This filling material is made from a mixture of mercury, silver, copper and tin. It is hardwearing and cost effective and has been used to restore teeth for many years.

Radiographs (x-rays)

We use radiographs to diagnose oral and dental disease and to plan suitable treatment.

Porcelain or Gold Inlays

Inlays are made by specialist dental technicians and are fitted into the tooth. They give a beautiful finish and are generally considered to be harder wearing and longer lasting than a filling. They create fewer stresses in the tooth and as such are an excellent choice where strength and durabiity are required, particularly the biting surface of the molar (back) teeth.

Crowns

Crowns are usually made form porcelain or gold and are used to strengthen and stabilise a damaged or weakened tooth. They are a shaped cap which fits over the entire tooth - if porcelain they can be colour matched to your other teeth. They can also be used to change the shape and alighnment of teeth to achieve wonderful cosmetic results.

Cerec

Using the latest computer technology and imaging, this innovative new system enables us to make new inlays, veneers and crowns in the surgery in about an hour. This means our patients can have the work completed and the tooth restored on the same day, without the need for impressions or temporary fittings.

Periodontal Therapy

This is a treatment to promote healthy gums and overall oral health. More teeth are lost through gum disease than through tooth decay, so this treatment makes sense! Recent research also indicates that increasing your overall gum health offers many other health benefits too.

Dentures

Dentures are created to replace missing teeth. Precision made for comfort and fit, they are hard wearing and match perfectly with any remaining teeth.

Tooth Whitening

More and more people are requesting a brighter, whiter smile. Our treatments are safe, easy to use and cost effective. Using a whitening gel at home over a period of between 10-21 days, you’ll see great results. If you want to speed up the process, we offer an in-surgery kick start to the whitening process.

Root Canal Treatment

A routine procedure which helps to retain a tooth where the nerve has died or the tooth is infected. By removing the nerve, cleaning and filling the root canal, the tooth can be preserved - our main aim!

Veneers

A veneer is a very thin porcelain cover which fits precisely over the visible surface of the front teeth. They are a perfect way to treat cracks, chips, mishaped or discoloured teeth. They are also an excellent way of closing gaps between teeth.

Implants

This is another alternative to replace a missing tooth. A precision made post is placed in the jaw bone, to which a porcelain tooth is fitted. It does not need support from neighbouring teeth. Inplants can also be used to stabilise full dentures.
