Dr Clare C. Chavasse BDS DPDSGDC number: 62906
Clare is the owner of Titchfield Dental Health which she founded in 1993. Clare qualified in 1987 from Guy’s Hospital, London, and gained a post graduate Diploma from Bristol University in 2003.
Clare is passionate about providing top quality dentistry to her patients, in a way that is minimally invasive, cosmetic and natural looking, as per the philosophy of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, of which she is a full member. She now runs the Hampshire regional group for the BACD, so bringing more dentistry of the same philosophy and standard to the area by researching top quality speakers to speak to local dentists.
Clare has led the practice to win many awards over the last 21 years since its conception including:
Most improved practice, best employer, best team (twice) and best patient care. She has a very clear vision - which can be summarised that everything at this practice is about the patient and what is best for them.
Clare has several main interests in dentistry, namely:
- Adult Orthodontics
- Cosmetic Bonding
- Full Mouth Restorations
- Occlusion (the way teeth bite)
- Headaches and Tired Jaws
- Treatment of Nervous Patients
When Clare gets time away from running the practice she enjoys spending time with her family, training her cocker spaniel, sailing on The Solent and can occasionally be seen driving her husband's steam roller at steam rallies!
A video of Clare's story can be seen below.
Dr Rick Norton LDS RCS (Eng)GDC number: 65705
Richard, known as Rick, joined Titchfield Dental Health in May 2018 and is a great asset to the practice. He qualified from The Royal College of Surgeons (Eng) having completed the requisite courses at Birmingham University.
Rick worked as the principal dentist in Durley Dental, Cowplain, Hants for many years and now takes up the challenge to help with the ever increasing new patient numbers in the Titchfield Dental Health Practice.
Rick has a particular interest in treating wear cases and also uses the Cerec machine in the practice to produce same day crowns without the need for impressions. His experience in all aspects of dentistry means that he can take on treatments such as extractions and root treatments with great experience and expertise.
A locum hygienist at the Titchfield Dental Practice who worked for Rick at his previous practice extols his virtues by saying:
“All of Rick’s patients love him; he is an excellent clinician and a very nice, gentle, man. – every day working with Rick is a good day.”
When down time is available Rick enjoys riding his motorbike.
Dr Reena Irvinn BDSGDC number: 85853
Reena qualified in 2005 from Guys, Kings and St Thomas London. In September 2018 we welcomed Reena to our team at Titchfield Dental Health, into which she fitted perfectly.
Reena is especially good at treating nervous and anxious patients and has had some lovely testimonials from people who were extremely nervous and have now overcome their fear because of her gentle techniques and kind, caring manner. She also likes treating children and the children really like her.
Reena has a PG Certificate in medical and dental education which means she can, and does, train others such as dentists in their VT year.
Reena has recently completed a facial aesthetics course and has been asked to be an ambassador at the Bob Khanna Training Institute in Reading. She obviously made a very good impression. She is skilled in the use of treatments similar to Botox for the treatment of headaches too.
Reena has a special interest in adult orthodontics and is highly trained in Fast Braces and Invisalign Go.
Since joining Titchfield Reena has settled into the local community around Park Gate, in which she lives.
Story of a Dentist
The Titchfield Dental Health Story
Dear Dr Chavasse, my card says that this has changed everything for me and I want you to understand that I do mean everything! I know that I even developed a very dry sense of humour at a young age so that I rarely laughed out loud. It is only now that I really appreciate how damaged I have been by always feeling inferior because of this flaw in my appearance that has been a constant pain to me. Now that my treatment is complete I am so happy – not entirely “cured” but getting there! If you remember, I came to you out of “hope” and it has worked so thank you, thank you, thank you for your patience and your skill.
